Tarot

Draw the card of the day from the 22 cards of the Major Arcana, or lay out three cards for past, present and future.

Trust your intuition and pick a card.

How does a tarot reading work?

  1. The deck

The reading uses the 22 cards of the Major Arcana. Each card has a traditional astrological correspondence, shown by the symbol in its centre.

  2. Card of the day

Each day the deck is reshuffled with a seed derived from the date, and each of the seven face-down cards hides a different card. The card you pick decides the result; pick the same card again today and you get the same answer.

  3. Three-card spread

The cards are shuffled randomly every time and three non-repeating cards are drawn: past, present and future.

How to interpret the cards

Tarot doesn't predict the future with certainty; it holds up a mirror to the present. Relate the card's keywords to your situation and note the first thing it brings to mind.
