How is age calculated?
Years, months, days
The birth date is subtracted from the target date; if the days go negative, the number of days in the previous month is added, and if the months go negative, 12 months are added and a year is taken away.

The millisecond difference between the two dates is converted to days, weeks and hours; leap years are handled automatically by the calendar.
Next birthday
If this year's birthday has passed, next year's date is used and the days remaining are counted.
